Manage food and nutrition agency-wide with responsibility for overseeing, monitoring, securing, transporting, and serving of nutritious food to residents through a combination of meal partners (volunteers, donors, and vendors) and staff. Optimizing both the use of in-kind food donations and the generosity of the community in bringing meals to our clients is a key function of this role that depends on successful partnerships to acquire and schedule long-term meal partners. The goal of the program is to improve the quality and quantity of nutrition services provided to homeless families and individuals.
Collaboration and communication with shelter directors throughout the agency to provide two meals per day to over 400 people at several locations. In addition to Shelter staff, Operations, and Development/Sales teams. The Food Services and Wellness Manager acts as a lead for all food-related services within LifeMoves, and supervises a team of 3-5.
