LifeMoves Branham Lane: A Bold Step Forward in Interim Housing | LifeMoves Skip to main content

This February, LifeMoves celebrated the launch of its newest interim supportive housing community, LifeMoves Branham Lane—a transformative project designed to provide safe, stable housing for individuals and couples experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Located in South San Jose, LifeMoves Branham Lane is the second-largest modular development in Project Homekey’s history. The 204-unit, three-story site replaces a former grass lot that had become a gathering space for encampments. Now, it offers housing, supportive services, and a path to lasting stability for up to 216 clients at a time.

LifeMoves Branham Lane is designed with the voices of those  who have experienced homelessness in mind. Its vibrant colors  and integrated artwork make the space feel welcoming, while  thoughtful design elements encourage community, well-being, and progress.

Beyond providing interim housing, LifeMoves  Branham Lane offers a holistic suite of services, including  personalized case management, housing and employment assistance, and healthcare support. The goal is to empower clients to overcome barriers and navigate their journey toward long-term stability.

LifeMoves Branham Lane reflects our commitment to forward-thinking solutions. The interim housing community incorporates solar panels to reduce energy costs and environmental impact, while a community garden grows fresh vegetables for nutritious meals and offers a peaceful space for clients to reconnect with nature. Additionally, safety and sustainability are at the forefront of the design. Features like permeable asphalt pavement and grated walkways manage rainwater efficiently, reducing runoff, preventing puddles, and keeping pathways clear year-round.

With the launch of LifeMoves Branham Lane, LifeMoves is pursuing bold possibilities— expanding interim housing solutions that are scalable, sustainable, and centered on the dignity and success of our unhoused neighbors.
