SANTA CLARA, CA – With the first bell of the school year just weeks away, the LifeMoves backpack drive is still more than 600 backpacks short of its goal to provide 800 fully stocked school bags to students in its network of interim housing communities.
These children, who occupy one in five LifeMoves’ beds and represent roughly 17% of its annual clientele, have faced housing instability and uncertainty.
A new backpack filled with school supplies may seem small, but for a child navigating life without a stable home, it can mean confidence, hope for the future and a strong start to the school year.

How to Help

- #2 pencils, pens, markers, crayons
- Notebooks, binders, folders, planners
- Headphones, USB drives, hand sanitizer
- Grade-specific supply lists available upon request
