Donate via Your IRA with a Qualified Charitable Distribution to LifeMoves

At LifeMoves, we believe in the power of giving to transform lives. If you are 70½ or older and have an Individual Retirement Account (IRA), you might be eligible for a Qualifying Charitable Distribution (QCD). This giving option empowers you to make a significant difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness.

Federal law allows people age 70 1/2 or older to make direct transfers from their IRA of up to $100,000 per year per person to charitable organizations. The withdrawal is not treated as taxable income. The withdrawal can be counted toward your Required Minimum Distribution.

Transfers must come from your IRA, made payable to LifeMoves. 401(k), 403(b) and other retirement plans do not qualify.

LifeMoves does not provide tax or legal advice. Please consult your own professional tax or legal advisor before making any charitable gift decision based on this information.
